You can do a lot of stuff real-time, with MIDI Effects, which you can combo in pretty complex MIDI Effect Racks (serial and parallel chains are possible, also Racks within Racks for branching trees, "inter-chain" and "feedback loops" are only possible with routing through other tracks or with Max For Live).
